His Helping Hands Receives 100 Women Who Care Donation

His Helping Hands-Clare County received a $10,200 donation from the hands and hearts of the 100 Women + Who Care in Clare County group. The group gives a donation quarterly by deciding by majority vote the recipient and making individual $100 donations to the organization.

It took a little while before His Helping Hands director Cindy Luther realized the size and scope of the donation. As with other donations the women have given, it comes with no strings attached and may be used by the non-profit for any need.

Luther said the donation will be used for gas cards for volunteers transporting seniors and personal/cleaning supplies to be given to recipients of other services the organization provides.

His Helping Hands-Clare County has a large scope of helpers and those helped. Seventeen local churches are involved in donations, both monetary and in donated goods. They are a Christian agency that works with individuals and other agencies to fulfill needs of furniture, appliances, bedding, personal, medical, and other household goods for low-income households. The average income of their client’s range between $800 and $900 a month.

They are the only organization in Clare County that will provide new beds.
