HARRISON-Recovery of a Stolen Vehicle

 November 29, 2021-
HARRISON, MI. On November 19, 2021, troopers from the Mount Pleasant Post responded to a Harrison bar in Hayes Township, Clare County, for the report of a stolen vehicle. Troopers contacted the victim and conducted a preliminary investigation.
On November 21, 2021, a witness located the stolen vehicle on private property in Isabella County. The witness also observed the suspect on the property where the stolen vehicle was located. After continued investigation and contact with the witness, the suspect was identified.
On November 24, 2021, troopers spoke with several of the suspect’s family members. Troopers then interviewed and obtained a confession from the suspect, a 26-year-old Harrison man, while he was lodged at the Clare County Jail on several warrants including absconding on parole. Charges were submitted to the Clare County Prosecutor’s Office for Unlawfully Driving Away an Automobile, Driving While License Suspended, and Failure to Report a Crash. He is awaiting arraignment.
