Harrison Graduate Marks 5 Years in Service

Capt. Robert Flemming, 9th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron weapons system operator and 2008 graduate of Harrison High School, embraces his daughters at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, May 31, 2020. Four 9th EBS B-1’s and approximately 200 Dyess AFB Airmen returned from a Bomber Task Force deployment to Anderson Air Force Base, Guam where they supported Pacific Air Forces’ commitment to the security and stability of the Indo-Pacific region.

Flemming was deployed to Qatar for 6 months from Sept 2018-March 2019 in support of Operation Freedom Sentinel, Operation Inherent Resolve and Operation Enduring Freedom.  He flew operations to Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria.  He received an Air Medal for his support during that deployment.

Capt. Flemming is the son of Larry and Lauri Flemming of Harrison and the grandson of Wayne and Ellen Holliday of Harrison. He joined the Air Force in 2015.  He received his bachelor’s degree in 2014 from Central Michigan University.  Flemming and his wife Kelly (Gwisdalla) have three children Delaini, Devyn, and Tyler. Kelly is a BSN and works as a Nurse Manager of the Inpatient Rehabilitation unit at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. They have been stationed at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas since 2017.
