Harrison Grad Graduates from Drill Sergeant Academy

Sgt. Benjamin Durham is a 2007 graduate of Harrison High school who was chosen by the U.S. Army to attend the Army Drill Sergeant Acadamy at Fort Jackson in South Carolina. Durham completed the academy with an exceptional rating and graduated 17th in a class of 86.

Durham joined the Army in 2009 and trained as a military policeman. His career has taken him to Fort Drum in New York, South Korea and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He has spent the last five years at West Point, performing multiple tasks including working with the security teams for visiting dignitaries visiting and supervising and training the West Point Military Honor Guard for events and funerals.

Each year, the Army selects the top 2% of sergeants to attend the Drill Sergeant Academy.
