Harold Lee Hardy

Harold Lee Hardy of Lecanto, Florida, formerly Harrison, Michigan passed away at Bayfront Health in Citrus Hills, Florida on August 1, 2021 at the age of 81. 

He was born in Boyne City, Michigan on July 29, 1940 and made Florida his home 33 years ago.

Harold was an extremely talented artist and enjoyed painting. He had a talent for crafting and building model ships and boats and had many other hobbies. Harold enjoyed cruising and traveling and had traveled to many destinations around the globe. He was a former owner of Hardy Insurance Agency as well as an antique store and auction house in Harrison also.

Those left to mourn Harold’s passing include his partner in life and love of 26 years, Lorraine Casucci Childs. His sons:  Daniel Hardy and wife Julie of Florida, Joel Hardy and wife Jean of Harrison, James Hardy and wife Jill of Ohio, Travis Hardy and wife Angie of Ohio,  daughter: MiRa Brandon and husband Bryce of Georgia, stepsons: Brian Casucci and Richard Casucci as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Zola Hardy, Sister Norma Russell, Brother Melvin Hardy, Sister Yvonne Hocquard and brother Elwood Hardy.

Cremation with care is under the direction of Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.

A memorial ceremony will be held at a later date in Boyne City, Michigan for family.
