Grave Thefts Heartbreaking

I will start out by saying that my family and I don’t have much but we are grateful for what we have. But we do take are of our family who have passed away, that is we put flowers on their grave, we clean their stones, etc. Sometimes we even clean the stones of others that nobody takes care of. We are there every day, sometimes one or twice a day.

Somebody has been taking flowers and other things from my loved ones’ graves. At least twice in a week. You have to be a pretty sick individual to steal from someone and their family who has passed on. As if people haven’t gone through enough already, not only do you have to go through the pain and heartache every day of losing a loved one, but you have some low-life stealing from graves.

There are a few of us that actually care, love and miss our loved ones every day. We don’t just bury them and forget them.

Some people can care less about other people and t heir feelings. It may sound stupid to some, but it gives my family a sense of peace to care for our loved ones who are laid to rest. It gives us a sense of peace until we can one day be with them again in heaven.

I don’t know who has been stealing from my family, but you are a pretty sick person or persons. Frankly, I don’t know how anyone could steal from a grave and sleep at night. I do know the potted flowers were taken between 3:30 and 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 16, 2021. It’s not just us, but others have had things stolen from the cemetery. A friend of ours has had a windchime stolen from her dad’s grave. Also, a fellow church member has had a shepherd’s hook and potted plant stolen form his wife’s grave. Some people just don’t have a heart or a conscience.

The two cemeteries I’m talking about are Maple Grove and Pleasant Plains. We also take care of our loved ones who have passed on at Pleasant Plains. We have been there multiple times and the flowers have been stolen, flowers have been thrown throughout the cemetery. I’ve got an idea of who may be doing this vandalism at Pleasant Plains.

One day you will be caught. Don’t think you’re going to get away with any of this vandalism. We might not catch you and others may or may not see you doing this, but one thing is for sure – God sees everything. He knows who you are, what you have done and are still doing, and you will have to answer to God one day.
