FLORENCE ANNETT LUCKES

Florence Annett Luckes age 86 of Harrison went to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 13, 2022.

Florence passed away at MyMichigan Health-Midland. Florence was born July 11, 1936 in Pontiac, Michigan the daughter of James H. Smith and Nina (Hoover) Smith. Florence was united in marriage to Mr. Roy Lester Luckes Sr. on March 5, 1955, in Pontiac. Mr. Luckes preceded Florence in death in 1999.

Mrs. Luckes had resided in Harrison since 1981, moving from Highland, Michigan. Florence was a member of Community Baptist Church, Harrison and was very active in leading the Women's Bible Study.

She religiously studied her Bible. Florence enjoyed fishing, bowling, cruising the back roads looking for deer, crafting, sightseeing, camping and watching televised Detroit Tigers Baseball and summer and winter Olympic games, she also enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel.

Surviving Florence is her daughter, Peggy Larion of Harrison, four grandchildren: Justin (Kirsti) Luckes, Kira Luckes and Rafe McBride, Terra Larion and Kris Hawkins and Quinton Larion and Demi Wolosonowich, ten great grandchildren: Kay'Leigh Olmstead, Kaylee Larion, Eric Thorp, Justin Luckes Jr., Janet Luckes, Tristen Sansom, Zaylin McBride, Elyria McBride, Marlee Hunter and Cora Luckes, one brother, James (Betty) Smith of Florida, one sister, Bessie Trammel of Missouri, plus many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Luckes also was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Roy Lester Luckes Jr., one son-in-law, Eric Larion and one brother, Earl Smith.

Funeral services for Mrs. Luckes will be held Thursday, August 18, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service, 165 West Oak St., Harrison, with Pastor Ron Callen officiating. Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.
