Fatal House Fire in Franklin Township

At approximately 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, the Harrison Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 6600 block of N. Bailey Lake Ave. in Franklin Township. Arriving units found a fully engulfed two- tory house. A 60-year-old Harrison woman was found inside, deceased. The house was a total loss, and firefighters were on the scene for approximately six hours. The Michigan State Police Fire Investigation Unit is investigating the fire along with the Clare County Medical Examiner.

Medical Response Ambulance Service, the Clare County Road Commission, the MSP Fire Investigation Unit and the Clare County Medical Examiner.
