ELEANOR JANE BLISSETT

                Eleanor Jane Blissett 88 of Harrison, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on Saturday, May 16, 2020. Eleanor was born April 28, 1932 in Grand Traverse, Michigan, the daughter of Theodore Roosevelt Cheney and Alice Almira (Gilmore) Cheney. Eleanor was united in marriage to Mr. Clark Blissett on September 3, 1949 in Williamsburg, Michigan.

                Mrs. Blissett had resided in Harrison since 2014, moving from Oxford, Michigan. Eleanor was a member of the Women of the Moose Harrison Chapter 1804, where she volunteered for many fish fry dinners throughout the years. She also was a member of the Silver Senior Travelers and Good Sam RV Travelers. Eleanor enjoyed roller skating, traveling, gardening and bird watching.

                Surviving Mrs. Blissett is her daughter, Ruth Ann (Blissett) Reynolds, one granddaughter, Raelynn (Blissett) Michalowicz and husband Jordan, one great-grandson, Hudson Michalowicz, daughter in-law, Rene Blissett, plus many extended family members and friends. Mrs. Blissett was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of fifty-nine years, twin sons in 1958, her son, Raymond Blissett on April 26, 2013, two daughters; Glenna Rae Blissett in 1950 and Rachel Alice in 1961 and two sisters; Bonnie Lane and Vera Egler.

                Inurnment will be at a later date in Whitewater Township Cemetery, Grand Traverse County, with a family picnic immediately following.
