DONALD ARTHUR NEEDHAM

Donald Arthur Needham 85 of Harrison went to be with his Lord on Sunday, January 10, 2021. Donald passed at Northwoods Nursing Center-Farwell. Donald was born August 20, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of Harold Lee and Grace Anna (Walsh) Needham. On November 6, 1954 in Saginaw, Donald was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Ms. Shirley Louis Dawley. Mr. Needham had resided in Harrison since 2014, moving from Breckenridge, Michigan.

                Donald retired from General Motors Corporation-Saginaw Steering Gear Plant, after thirty years; of dedicated service. Mr. Needham had resided in Harrison since 2014, moving from Breckenridge, Michigan. Donald was a member of Local 699 for many years. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, caring for his yard and vegetable garden. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, building automobile engines and watching televised WWE wrestling.

                Surviving Mr. Needham is his loving wife of sixty-six years, Mrs. Shirley L. Needham of Farwell, three children; Dan Needham and wife Susan of Freeland, Michigan, Dale Needham and wife Lisa of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Ann Kory of Harrison, nine grandchildren; David, Danielle, Darrin, Abby, Michael, Donald, Nathan, Heather and Cody, six great-grandchildren, plus one arriving soon, one brother, Harold Needham and wife Jane of Saginaw, one daughter in-law, Ellie Murphy and husband Ken of Oscoda, Michigan, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mr. Needham was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Donald Needham, one granddaughter, Nakita Needham and one sister, Aletha McCoy.
