David was born to Jack and Ruth (Orwig) Flora on May 27, 1949, in Saginaw, MI. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1967 and attended Delta College, becoming a skilled Finish Carpenter and Construction Forman honing his crafts through the years. David enjoyed deer hunting and was an avid bowler in his early years, he even managed to hit that “300” game that every bowler longs to master. His true passion was fishing, and he loved to fish Michigan northern lakes.
David and Debbie Loman fell in love and were married in 1995, she survives him. They spent 30 wonderful years together combining their children and producing a beautiful, blended family.
Surviving besides his wife are his two sons, Stephen (Shari) Flora and Marc Flora; his two stepdaughters, Myndi (Keith) Bacon and Kerri (Jeff) Second; and his seven beautiful grandchildren, Baleigh, Piper, Marley, Lydia, Sam, Christopher, and Josie.
He is survived by his siblings, Dr. Dale (Vicky) Flora, Dr. Dean (Pattie) Flora, and Sue (William) Douglas; sisters-in-law, Terry (George) Carder Reed, Kathy Reichenbach, Linda Piacente, and Lynn Leonard; brothers-in-law, Lon (Carolyn) Leonard and Jeff (Judy) Leonard; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides his parents, David was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Evelyn Leonard; and brothers-in-law, Dan Leonard, Bill Reichenbach, and Vic Piacente.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service is scheduled for 5:00PM, Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Hopevale Church 4873 N. Center Rd., Saginaw, MI.
