Courts Sentence 6 to Prison Time

Dennis William Bohnard, of Harrison, Michigan, pleaded guilty on Feb. 24 to Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm Less than murder, as a habitual 3rd offender. He was sentenced on July 26 by Judge Roy Mienk to serve 3 years, 6 months to 20 years in prison with credit for 1 day served. He was also ordered to pay $1,198 in assorted fines and costs.

James Carl Case, III, of Gladwin, Michigan, pleaded guilty on June 30 to Possession of Methamphetamine, Felon in Possession of Firearm, and Flee and Elude Police Officer, as a habitual 3rd offender. He was sentenced on Sept. 21 by Judge Roy Mienk to serve prison time as follows: 36 months to 20 years, 36 months to 10 years, and 2 years to 4 years respectively with credit for 135 days credit for time already served.

Eric Donia Herron, of Harrison, Michigan, pleaded guilty in two files on June 29 to the following charges: Fleeing and Eluding 3rd Degree; Police Officer–Resist and Obstruct; and Tamper with an Electronic Monitoring Device, as a habitual 3rd offender. He was sentenced on Oct. 25 by Judge Roy Mienk to serve prison time as follows: 3 years to 10 years; 2 years to 4 years; and, 2 years to 4 years respectively with credit for 256 days already served.

On Sept. 27, the defendant pleaded no contest and guilty in another file to Delivery/Manufacture Methamphetamine (no contest); Carry Concealed Weapons; Felony in Possession of Firearm; and Possession of a Schedule 5 Controlled Substance; as a habitual 3rd offender. He was sentenced on Oct. 25 by Judge Mienk, to serve prison time as follows: 8 years 6 months to 40 years; 3 years to 10 years; 3 years to 10 years; and 1 year respectively, with credit for 267 days already served.

On Sept. 29, the defendant pleaded no contest and guilty in another file to Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm less than Murder (no contest) and Felon in Possession of Ammunition; as a habitual 3rd offender. He was sentenced on Oct. 25 by Judge Mienk, to serve prison time as follows: 3 years to 20 years and 3 years to 10 years, with credit for 76 days already served.

All sentences are to run concurrently. He was also ordered to pay a grand total of $3,284 associated fines and court costs.

Jason Alan Jones of Harrison pleaded no contest and guilty on Aug. 16 to Delivery/Manufacture Methamphetamine (no contest), Possession of Methamphetamine, and Maintaining a Drug House. He was sentenced to prison by Judge Thomas Evans on Oct. 4 as follows: 30 months to 20 years, 30 months to 10 years, and 16 months to 2 years respectively, with credit for 175 days already served. He was also ordered to pay a total of $2,134 in associated fines and court costs.

Jonah Reed Vaughn, of Prentice, Wisconsin, pleaded guilty on March 15 to Flee and Elude a Police Officer. He was sentenced on Oct. 18 by Judge Thomas Evans to serve a prison term as follows: 15 months to 2 years with credit for 69 days already served. He was also ordered to pay a total of $6,378.75 in associated fines and court costs.

Jeremy Robert Tigner, of Farwell, Michigan, pleaded guilty on March 16 to Domestic Violence 3rd offense as a habitual offender 4th offender and to a probation violation. He was sentenced to a term of prison on Oct. 18 by Judge Thomas Evans, as follows: 14 months to 20 years, with credit for 490 days already served. He was also ordered to pay a total of $1,284.66 in associated fines and court costs.

On Sept. 7, he also pleaded no contest to Domestic Violence 3rd offense and Interfering with Electronic Communications. He was sentenced on Oct. 18 by Judge Evans to serve the following prison term: 14 months to 5 years and 14 months to 2 years respectively with credit for 125 days already served. He was also ordered to pay $1,698 in associated fines and court costs.

On Oct. 18, he was also sentenced to prison by Judge Evans on a probation violation in a Child Support Fail to Pay case as follows: 14 months to 4 years, credit for 722 days already served.

All of his sentences are to run concurrently.
