Coker Runs for Road Commission

Posted

My father, David “Dave” Coker, Jr., is our best candidate for Clare County Road Commission on the August 4th primary ballot. As a resident of Clare County who has lived here for the majority of his life, he is motivated by a need to do better for the residents of our county. His main focuses will be on safety, policy management, fiscal responsibility, and proactive maintenance.

In the past he has been an elected member of the Surrey Township Board and the Board of Directors for the Michigan Township Association, as well as a member of the Clare County Parks and Recreation Commission, the Friends of the Clare County Parks and Rec, and the Shamrock Lake Board. He was also the Legislative Director for the Speaker Pro Tempore of the Michigan House of Representatives. All of these positions have provided him with greater experience than the other candidates regarding how to best lead the Clare County Road Commission and how to obtain the resources we need to improve our county roads. He is not interested in sticking with the status quo or “the way things have always been done”. Dave will look into the problems and address them before they become full grown, costly nightmares.

Dave is determined to make a difference in our county. The majority of us have driven on these roads and know the problems we face. For more clarification, feel free to visit his Facebook page “Coker for Road Commission”.

Politics tends to get personal, but we all need to remember that the most important thing is to vote for someone who is passionate about making a difference and has the knowledge to do so. Vote David Coker for Clare County Road Commission on August 4th to make the Clare County roads safer for everyone.
