The Blue Jay Invitational was held on Saturday. The meet, hosted by Shepherd, featured multiple divisions with as many as 20 teams in each one; creating one of the largest regular seasons meets in the area. Clare took part in the event as well. The Pioneers were in the gold division, where their boys team finished 10th out of 18 scoring teams.

They were paced by Brayden Schmidt in 26th place with a solid time of 17:46. Sutton Klaus was 40th with a run of 18:08, Carter Peacock was 50th at 18:32, Christian Villa-Bilton was 55th with an 18:33 and Caiden Gaskill crossed 62nd at 18:46. Next for the Pioneers was Neiko Ketchum, who was 65th at 18:52 and Joseph Haupt was 83rd at 19:58.

The Clare girls did not take part in the event, due to homecoming events later that evening.

Clare ran in the second Jack Pine Conference in Shepherd on Wednesday and they also head over to the Portage Invitational on Saturday.
