Carol Jeanne Kocsis, age 95, of Farwell passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the Northwoods Nursing Center in Farwell.
Funeral Services for Carol will take place at Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel, 165 W. Oak St., Harrison, MI 48625, on Wednesday, March 26, at 12 noon with Elder Dean Beavers officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Plains Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Carol was born on February 9, 1930, in Lansing, daughter of George J and Minnie (Laza) Cooke. She married John Kocsis on September 23, 1972, in Owosso. Carol and John moved to Harrison in 1979, relocating from Bay City. She enjoyed sewing, camping, tending to her house plants, and going to the casino.
Carol is survived by her sons, Mike Orser of Harrison and Jeffrey (April) Orser of Farwell; daughters, Judy Armstrong of Cass City, Vicky (John) Huffman of Bay City, and Kathy Schultz of Coleman; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Snyder of Owosso; and many nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, John Kocsis on December 2, 2016; parents; grandson, Eric Huffman; and brother, Gordon Novak.
