Forrest "Bill" William Hosler, Jr., age 81, of Harrison passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at the Gladwin Pines and Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A Celebration of Life Service for Bill will take place at the Rives Community Church, 2800 W. Berry Rd., Rives Junction, MI 49277, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday April 7, 2025, at with Pastor Dr. John Marr officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on the day of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the church and Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel.
Bill was born on February 15, 1944, in Jackson, son of Forrest and Dorothy (Bunt) Hosler. Bill married Diane Simmon on April 24, 1987. Bill enjoyed going hunting, camping, spending time in nature, going to casinos, and traveling to the Upper Peninsula. He loved watching old western movies with John Wayne and was an avid reader. Bill made friends everywhere he went and was loved by everyone who met him.
Bill is survived by his wife, Diane; children, Jeff Hosler, Lori Hosler, Brian Hosler, Jennifer (Chris) Talaski, and Michael (Kelly) Simmon; grandchildren, 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dee Surbrook, Tom (Sue) Hosler, Jim (Kay) Hosler, and Gina May; brothers-in-law, Dale (Sherry) Radde and David (Debbie) Radde; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by parents; son, Doug Hosler; brothers-in-law, Leonard May and John Surbrook; and sister-in-law, Annette Radde.
