ANNABELL MAE MATHEWS

                Annabell Mae Mathews age 94 of Harrison, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, as the result of an automobile accident. Annabell was born July 7, 1927, in Gladwin, Michigan. The daughter of Rolla Allen Iutzi and Flossie Anna (Townsend) Iutzi. Annabell graduated from Harrison Community Schools in 1944. She was united in marriage to Mr. Lloyd E. Mathews on July 4, 1948 in Harrison. Mr. Mathews preceded Annabell in death on July 28, 1995 after forty-seven years of marriage.

                Mrs. Mathews had resided in rural Harrison her entire life. Annabell was an integral part of the family farm, from running equipment, sawing wood, gardening, selling her Sweet Corn, tending to the livestock, to raising and caring for her family. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, floral and vegetable gardening, reading, cooking and baking her famous “sweet treats”.

                Surviving Mrs. Mathews are her two children: Terry Mathews and wife Joy of Harrison and Christene Stuckert and husband Chuck of Clare, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one brother, Harold Iutzi of Harrison, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family. Mrs. Mathews also was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Julia Huber and Violet Price, one brother, Bernard “Bud” Iutzi, two sisters in law: Joan Iutzi and Ethel Jean Iutzi and two brothers in law: Paul Huber and Wayne Price.

                Funeral services for Mrs. Mathews will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, with Pastor Ron Callen officiating. Visitation will take place on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Stocking Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Crest Cemetery, Harrison.
