Angela Kellogg Named 2021 July 4th Parade Grand Marshal

Angela Kellogg, owner and managing editor of the Clare County Cleaver, has been chosen to be the grand marshal of Harrison’s 2021 Fourth of July Parade. Susan Freeman of the Harrison Chamber of Commerce said Kellogg was selected for the honor because of all that she does to better the community, including serving at the Harrison District Library and on Harrison City Council, volunteering at Harrison Chamber events, as well as keeping the community updated on events and news happening around Harrison.

“Angie is someone who sees Harrison as a great place to live and is willing to serve in the different areas to make it better!” Freeman said.

Her selection as grand marshal was both unexpected and much appreciated by Kellogg.

“I’m honored and surprised to be asked to be Grand Marshal this year,” she said. “Harrison has had a lot of positive changes and I’m proud to be a part of those changes. The Cleaver marking 140 years is a milestone not just for the families who have run it, but for our county as a whole. That we can maintain a newspaper is a barometer of the continued success of our community.”
