Harrison Man Sentenced for Multiple CSC Related Offenses

Adam Josiah Post, of Harrison, was found guilty on November 30, 2023, of six criminal sexual conduct related offenses across three separate files as follows: Criminal Sexual Conduct 1st Degree, Criminal Sexual Conduct 2nd Degree, Criminal Sexual Conduct 4thDegree, Criminal Sexual Conduct 4th Degree, Criminal Sexual Conduct – Assault with Intent to commit Criminal Sexual Conduct, and Criminal Sexual Conduct 4th Degree. He was also found guilty by the court of being a 2nd habitual offender in one of the files.

He was sentenced on January 23, 2024, to serve consecutive prison terms by Judge Mienk. He was sentenced to serve consecutive prison terms.

In file 23-007151-FC for the conviction of Criminal Sexual Conduct 2ndDegree he was ordered to serve 107 to 270 months (approximately 9 – 22.5 years). And, for the conviction of Criminal Sexual Conduct 1st Degree he was ordered to serve 262 months to 60 years (approximately 21 years to 60 years). These sentences will run consecutive with one another – meaning that he will serve one sentence completely before he begins the other sentence. He was granted 320 days credit for time already served. He was ordered to pay a total of $1766 in fines, costs and fees. Both sentences imposed were at the maximum end of the defendant’s sentence guideline range.

In file 22-007049-FH for the two convictions of Criminal Sexual Conduct 4thdegree he was ordered to serve 381 days on each conviction, concurrent with one another, with credit for 381 days already served. He was ordered to pay a total of $266 in fines, costs, and fees. Defendant’s sentence guidelines for these offenses were 0-17 months.

In file 22-007048-FH for the conviction of Criminal Sexual Conduct – Assault with Intent to Commit Criminal Sexual Conduct, he was ordered to serve 20 months to 10 years. And, for the Criminal Sexual Conduct 4th Degree he was ordered to serve 381 days. The sentences run concurrent with one another and concurrent with the other sentences. On both convictions he was granted 381 days credit for time already served. He was ordered to pay a total of $266 in fines, costs, and fees. The defendant’s sentence guidelines were 5-23 months and 0-17 months respectively.
