JAMES MICHAEL PETTY

James Michael “Mic” Petty, 51, of Weidman passed
away peacefully on September 20, 2006 with his family by his side.
A celebration of Mic’s life will be held on Saturday, September 30,
2006 at 1p.m. at the Harrison City Park.
Mic was born on November 27, 1954 in Pontiac, the son of James and
Francis (Fortenberry) Petty. He worked as a welder for Morbark for 16
years and Dynamics for 2 years. Mic married Betty Lyn Husted on October
30, 1993. He enjoyed music and was bass player and lead vocals for Flex
and Aftershock Band.
Mic is survived by his wife, Betty Lyn of Weidman; children, Jody
(Tim) Wilburn of Harrison, Jennifer (Jon) Bartlett of Standish, James
“Mick” (Samantha) Petty of Lupton and Travis (Sharon) Petty of Birch
Run; grandchildren, Devan, Alaynie, Justice, Dawson, Tori and Jennifer;
great-granddaughter, Paige and sisters, Earlene (Larry) Foster of
Standish, Phyllis (John) Trimble of Standish, Bonnie (Chester) Krystinac
of Clare and Melanie Petty and Dwayne of Standish.
Mic was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.

BETTY LOU MARSTON
Betty Lou Marston,
Age 81, of Alma, formerly of Harrison, passed away Thursday, September
21, 2006 at Schnepp Health Care Center in St. Louis.
Betty Lou was born July 22, 1925 the daughter of Sherman and Ella
(Bailey) Conway. Betty Lou spent most of her life in Harrison, MI.
She married Lewis Marston.
Betty Lou is survived by two daughters, Pat of North Carolina and
Michele of Texas and a son Steven of Harrison.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lewis and two
sons, Gary and John.
An anatomical gift has been made to the University of Michigan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral
Home, in Alma.
