RYAN ANTHONY BLAINE

Ryan Anthony Blaine,
age 15, of Harrison, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, September 25,
2008 at his home in Harrison. He was born the son of Timothy L. and Lori
Lynn (Marshall) Blaine on September 17, 1993 in Lansing, Michigan. Ryan
attended Harrison High School and also excelled in many sports. In 2007,
he was chosen as the Most Valuable Player for the Harrison Hornets and
he also participated in track, baseball, and basketball. His favorite
pastimes were spent playing online-computer-gaming and being surrounded
by his close friends and family.
He is survived by his parents, his two brothers, Michael Marshall
of Greensboro, North Carolina and Ethan "Squid" Blaine of Harrison; his
two uncles, Mark (Cathy) Marshall and Rodney (Shellie) Marshall, whom
all are from Harrison; and his close friends: Matt Zulo, Daniel Hill,
Adam Rudapaugh, Tyler Girardin, and Jaslyn Duma. He was preceded in
death by his grandparents, Donald L. and Carol L. Marshall, Lowell and
Norma Blaine and a brother, Arron Marshall.
Funeral services took place on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at 12:00
p.m. from the St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Harrison with Reverend
Tillie Jean Turner officiating. Burial is in the Pleasant Plains
Cemetery in Harrison, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be directed

JACK DONALD MORGAN
Jack Donald Morgan,
85 of Harrison, passed away Monday, October 6, 2008 at Tendercare of
Clare. Mr. Morgan was born September 21, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan, the
son of Amos and Audra (Weaver) Morgan. Mr. Morgan served his country in
the United States Army during World War II. Jack was united in marriage
to the former June Clara Armstrong on October 25, 1946.
Mr. Morgan had resided in Harrison since 1983, coming from
Rochester, Michigan. Jack was a member of the American Legion Post 404
of Harrison and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #2235, also of Harrison.
Mr. Morgan enjoyed fishing, hunting and wood carving.
Surviving is his loving wife, June C. Morgan of Harrison, one
daughter, Audra Goslin and husband Donald of Dearborn Heights, Michigan,
two sons: Donald Jackie Morgan of Harrison and Kenneth Morgan and wife
Cheryl of Rochester, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, plus
numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his
parents and three brothers: Paul Morgan, Edward Morgan and Daniel
Morgan.

JAMES MALCOLM JOHNSON
James "Jim" Malcolm Johnson, 50, of
Harrison, passed away Monday, October 13, 2008 at Mercy Hospital,
Cadillac, Michigan. Mr. Johnson was born October 22, 1957 in Flint,
Michigan, the son of Malcolm Nicholas and Eunice Ann (Castleman)
Johnson. Mr. Johnson served his country in the United States Navy.
Jim had resided in Harrison since 1998, coming from Mt. Morris,
Michigan. Jim was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #2235 of
Harrison and the Harrison Fraternal Order of Eagles and a life member of
the National Rifle Association. Mr. Johnson was the owner and operator
of Jim Johnson Heating, Cooling, Refrigeration & Appliances. In his
spare time, Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving is his daughter, Megan Johnson of Canton, Michigan, one
son, Jeremiah M. Johnson of Canton and girlfriend, Samantha Nickel of
Clio, Michigan, his mother, Eunice A. Capen of Blytheville, Arkansas,
one brother, Lee Johnson and wife Michelle also of Blytheville, one
sister, Nancy of North Carolina and the mother of Jeremiah and Megan,
Michelle Bradley of Canton. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his
step-father, Mr. Jerry Capen.

HAROLD GLENN FENNER
Harold Glenn Fenner, age 75, of
Harrison, Michigan and formerly of Waterford, Michigan, passed away on
Saturday, September 27, 2008 at his home in Harrison. He was born the
son John Harold and Pauline Isabell (Morrow) Fenner on June 17, 1933 in
Pontiac, Michigan. On November 18, 1965, he was united in marriage to
Margaret A Davis in Waterford, Michigan. Mrs. Fenner preceded him in
death on January 31, 2006. Mr. Fenner had worked as a truck driver for a
gravel company for many years. Harold was also a life member of the
Waterford Eagles and enjoyed fixing and tinkering with anything. He had
lived in the Harrison area since 1996, where he had moved from
Waterford.
He is survived by his five sons: Steven Fenner of Florida, Jeffery
Fenner of Pontiac, Michigan, Kevin (Muriell) Fenner of Massachusetts,
Tracy Fenner also of Florida, and Harold Fenner of Harrison; his
step-son, Raymond Halicek, of Harrison; his three sisters, Marion Fenner-Smith
(Ronald) of Columbiaville, Michigan, Laura Guinn of Waterford, Michigan
and Doris (Robert) Harris of Homosassa Springs, Florida; his two
grandchildren, Jeffery and Elizabeth Fenner; and a niece, Kimberly
(John) Rondo, of Harrison. He was preceded in death by his parents and
his wife, Margaret.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at
1:00 p.m. from the Stocking Funeral Home in Harrison with Pastor Tim
Tanner officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the
time of service. Burial will take place in the Pleasant Plains Cemetery
in Harrison. Memorial contributions may be considered to the First

LILLIAN L. VOZAR
Lillian L. Vozar, age 88 of Harrison
passed away Friday, September 26, 2008 at Mid Michigan Medical
Center-Midland. Lillian was born February 10, 1920 in Bannister,
Michigan, the daughter of Leon and Jenny (Seely) Cox. Lillian was united
in marriage to Mr. Joseph F. Vozar on April 19, 1941 in Lansing,
Michigan. Mr. Vozar preceded Lillian in death on March 28, 2005.
Mrs. Vozar had resided in Harrison since 1973, coming from Ithaca,
Michigan. Lillian was member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church,
Harrison. She enjoyed painting, rug making, arranging flowers and
writing and publishing poems.
Surviving are her two sons: Thomas J. Vozar of Harrison and Joel A.
Vozar and wife Donna of St. Johns, Michigan, two grandchildren: Joseph
Walter Vozar and wife Beth of Ithaca and Julie Ann Vozar and her fiancé
Ronnie Carman of Pompeii, Michigan, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Lillian also was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Bob Cox
and three sisters: Adeline Cox-McCloskey, Margarite Cox-Horton and
Caroline Cox-Bunker.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.
from St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison, with Father Noel Rudy
officiating. Burial is in St. Athanasius Catholic Cemetery, Harrison. To

EDNA DANIEL
Edna Daniel, 75, passed away Friday,
September 26 at Grandvue Medical Care Facility, where she was lovingly
cared for. She was born on November 15, 1932 in Central Lake, the
daughter of Joseph Leo and Eleanor (Williams) Gareau. On December 28,
1990 in Harrison, she married James Daniel. He preceded her in death in
1996. She had worked as a quality of life caregiver in the home health
care industry. She retired in 2005, due to her illness. Edna was a
member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Boyne City, the Moose Lodge
and American Legion Women's Auxiliary of Harrison. She enjoyed
crocheting, knitting and all kinds of crafts. She also loved to play
pool, golf, bingo and assorted card games.
She is survived by three children, Eva (Neil) Flower of Charlevoix,
Dave (Tarra) Lucas of Harrison and Anthony (Melissa) Lucas, Sr. of
Charlevoix; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; and one
sister, Vera Hall of Harrison. She was also preceded in death by her
parents, one brother, Jack Gareau and her twin sister, Edith Smith. As
per her request, her remains were temporarily donated to the University
of Michigan Medical School for study. A memorial service will be held at
the Harrison Moose Lodge at 1:00 pm. on October 11, followed by a
luncheon at the American Legion 40&8 Club at 150 West Temple Dr., Temple
