HAROLD GEORGE RIGGS SR.
Harold George Riggs
Sr. 69 of Harrison, passed away Monday September 24, 2007. Mr. Riggs
was born August 25, 1938 in Traverse City, Michigan, the son of Brinton
Fred and Dorothy Marie (Hammond) Riggs.
Mr. Riggs had resided in Harrison since 1964, coming from Grand Ledge,
Michigan. Harold had been employed with Clare County Transit for twelve
years as a bus driver. Harold enjoyed collecting and repairing antique
clocks.
Surviving Mr. Riggs are two sons: Harold George Riggs Jr. and wife
Kimberly of Coleman, Michigan and Fredrick John Riggs of Harrison, one
daughter, Darcell Marie Riggs of Harrison, his companion, Rose M. Scott
of Harrison, one sister, Zilah Bowles and husband Donald of Summerfield,
Florida, the mother of his children, Janet Carol Riggs of Coleman,
seventeen grandchildren: Eric, Shaun, David, Ryan, Zachary, Mindy,
Chris, Misty, Chad, Mike, Bryan, Seth, Mercedes, Annie, Dale, Rachel and
Julien, one great-granddaughter, Kaylee, one step-son, Lenny Scott of
Harrison, plus many nieces and nephews. Mr. Riggs was preceded in death
by his parents and two brothers: Robert Riggs and Brinton "Red" Riggs
Jr.
Funeral services were held Friday, September 28, 2007 at 1:00 p.m.
from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with Elder Dale Beavers
officiating. Burial was in Summerfield Township Cemetery, Harrison.

EARL R. STAMMAN

Stamman, Earl R.;
of Sylvan Lake; October 2, 2007; age 80. Beloved husband of the late
Hazel Stamman; dear father of Diane Stamman, Tom Stamman, Karen (Rick)
Carrico, Dave (Alice) Stamman and Becky Stamman; dear friend of Ginger
Madill; brother of the late Arnold Stamman; beloved grandfather of Jeff,
Amy, Christie, Bethany and Chelsea. Mr. Stamman was retired from Don Lee
Beverage Distributors and was a long time member of the Sylvan Lake
Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Pontiac Waterford Elks Lodge and
was a veteran of the United States Army. Funeral Services were Friday,
October 5, 2007, 1 p.m. at the Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral
Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford. The family received friends at
the funeral home Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Interment in White

RENE E. OZIAS
Rene E. Ozias 76
of Harrison, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2007 at Central
Michigan Community Hospital-Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Mr. Ozias was born
February 20th, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Walter T. and Anna
Leigh (Wilcox) Ozias. Rene was united in marriage to the former Jean A.
Jenkins on November 19th, 1949 in Detroit.
Mr. Ozias had resided in Harrison since 1986, coming from
Ortonville, Michigan. Rene was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose
#2235 of Harrison. Rene enjoyed playing golf, bowling and was an avid
woodworker.
Surviving is his loving wife, Jean A. Ozias of Harrison, two sons:
Gary Ozias and fiancee Grace Peterson of Sterling Heights, Michigan and
Greg Ozias and wife Judy of Clawson, Michigan, four daughters: Cheryl
Chudy and husband Keith of Oxford, Michigan, Regina Ozias of Brighton,
Michigan, Sandra Riha and husband Mark of Ortonville, Michigan and
Judith Olrich and husband Greg also of Ortonville, two sisters: Marilyn
Rowe of Troy, Michigan and June Hill of Pennsylvania, thirteen
grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, plus many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ozias was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Walter
and Albert Ozias.
Celebration of Life memorial services were held Monday, October 1,
2007 at 1:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, with Pastor
Kevin Shorkey officiating. Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Ozias

EUGENE H. RENSBERRY
Eugene H. Rensberry,
age 73 of St. Johns, Michigan died Monday, October 8, 2007 at Hackley
Lakeshore Hospital, Shelby, Michigan.
Funeral Services were held at Bethel Mennonite Church, Ashley, MI
on Friday, October 12, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Joe Pendleton will
officiate with burial at Ford Cemetery Gratiot County, Michigan.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 11, 2007 from 2-8 P.M. with
family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Eugene was born in Hillman, Michigan on May 14, 1934 the son of
Herschel and Beatrice ( Essner ) Rensberry. He resided in Clinton County
since 1957, and graduated from Spring Arbor High School. He then
attended Ferris State University. Eugene married Katherine DeBarr on
August 5, 1955 in Harrison, Michigan. She passed away on September 4,
2003. He married Margaret Bontranger on October 6, 2007. He retired in
1998 from Dow, Howell, and Gilmore Associates. He enjoyed music, being
outdoors, puttering with his tractor, and taking care of his trees.
Eugene attended Bethel Mennonite Church, Ashley, MI and he was a RAVE
Volunteer.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Rensberry of Ashley, MI,
children; Diane & David Johns of Harrison, MI, Michael & Lucy Rensberry
of Lansing, MI, Victor & Roberta Rensberry of Ladson, SC, grandchildren;
Jeremy, Nicholas, & Kari Rensberry, Andrea & Katherine Johns, Eddie,
Sharon, Chrissy, & Jessica Padgett, several great grandchildren, 5
brothers; Merlyn Rensberry, Howard Rensberry, Forest Rensberry, Irving
Rensberry, Paul Rensberry, 3 sisters; Thelma Greene, Flossie Shaw, and
Arlene Mashburn, and several nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his
parents, 1st wife, and 1 sister Phylis English.
