ARLIE L. WOLCK
Arlie L. Wolck 94 of Harrison, passed
away Saturday, November 24, 2007 at her home. Arlie was born February 4,
1913 in Sandusky, Michigan, the daughter of Russell and Ruby (Proper)
Yake. Arlie was united in marriage to Harold Wolck in 1935 in
Deckerville, Michigan. Mr. Wolck preceded Arlie in death in 1985.
Mrs. Wolck had resided in Harrison since 1988, coming from Madison
Heights, Michigan. Arlie enjoyed playing the organ and listening to
music. She enjoyed spending her summers at the cottage in Harrison with
her family.
Surviving is her granddaughter, Carol A. Wood of Harrison, one
brother, Richard Yake and wife Jean of Florida, one sister in law, Joyce
Yake also of Florida, three great-grandchildren: Erin Lee Jordan and
husband Travis, Kelly Ann Turner and husband Adam and Katie Jo Wood and
fiancee, David Burkhard, one great great-granddaughter, Montana Rose
Jordan. Arlie also was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter,
Joanne Marie Robbins on June 7, 2007 and one brother, Robert Yake.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at 12:00 p.m.

MARY ELLEN VANHORN
Mary Ellen VanHorn
80 of Harrison, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Tendercare
of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Mary was born September 15, 1927 in Evart,
Michigan, the daughter of William and Myrtle A. (Gallant) Hill.
Mary was united in marriage to Donald E. VanHorn, Mr. VanHorn
preceded Mary in death on March 13, 1987. Mrs. VanHorn had resided in
Harrison since 1976, coming from Pontiac, Michigan.
Surviving are two daughters: Sharon Crites and husband Guy of
Waterford, Michigan and Robin Shaw of Mt. Pleasant, seven grandchildren
and twelve great-grandchildren, plus several nieces and nephews. Mrs.
VanHorn also was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Retha
Kinney and two brothers: Keith Hill and Harold "Bim" Hill.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 1:00 p.m.

Burial is in Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial donations in
