PHILLIS M. THOMPSON

   Phillis M. Thompson 79 of Harrison passed away Monday, March 13, 2006 in her home. Mrs. Thompson was born August 30, 1926 in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of James and Vernice (White) McConnell. Phillis was united in marriage to Dale B. Thompson on May 23, 1945 in Saginaw; Dale preceded Phillis in death on October 10, 2005.
    Phillis was a member of The Women of Faith - Faith Lutheran Church, Harrison, and American Legion Womens Auxiliary #273. Phillis enjoyed fishing, bingo and gaming.
Surviving are her two loving sons; Dale Brian (Roberta) Thompson of Hastings, Michigan and Mark David (Carrie) Thompson of Merrill, Michigan, two loving daughters; Linda (Ed) Richards of Saginaw, Michigan and Gail (Barry) Smith of Midland, Michigan, one sister; Jacqueline Barnes of South Carolina, one very dear cousin; Glenn White of Mexico, eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; James McConnell and Franklin Talbot.
   Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 11;00 a.m. from Faith Lutheran Church, Harrison, with Rev. Paul C. Fetzer officiating. Inurnment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial contributions in memory of Phillis may be considered to : Faith Lutheran Church, Harrison. ALICE CLEMENCE

   Alice Clemence, age 71 of Beverly Hills, Florida, died March 12, 2006 in Lecanto, Florida, after losing a long fight with cancer. She was born the daughter of William Benard & Alice (Barry).
   Alice was a native of Detroit, Michigan and then moved to Harrison, Michigan where she worked in management for Ben Franklin from 1982-1996. She later moved down to Florida in September of 1997, where she worked for Fiori Gifts & Flowers in Lecanto, Florida in delivery and accounting from 2002-2006.
   Alice attended Beverly Hills Community Church. She also was a member of the Women of the Moose Inverness Lodge #2112. She enjoyed arts, crafts and traveling, especially to Las Vegas, Nevada. She loved her grandchildren and her dog, Simba.
   Alive is survived by: her husband of 49 years, George ‘Pat’ Clemence of Beverly Hills, Florida; son Michael W. Clemence & wife Karen of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter Tammy Bainbridge & husband Kurtis of Brown City, Michigan; granddaughters Kelly Bainbridge of Ferndale, Michigan and Darlene Sharp of Warren, Michigan; grandsons Christopher & Steven Clemence, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; great grandson Michael Sharp of Warren, Michigan; sister Elizabeth Dobson & husband Robert of Saline, Michigan; and many nieces & nephews.
   Memorial contributions may be made to: Hospice of Citrus County.

MARY ARLENE OLSON

   Mary Arlene Huntley Olson died peacefully in her sleep of multiple illnesses on March 5, 2006. She was 84 years old.
   Born in Dexter, Maine in 1921, Arlene graduated high school in Lubec, Maine in 1941, and received her LPN from Shapiro School of Nursing at Sinai Hospital in Detroit in September of 1973.
   She married Philip Olson on March 31, 1944 in Lubec, Maine. They moved to Harrison, Michigan in 1981 from Madison Heights, Michigan. They are members of St. Luke Lutheran Church and the American Legion.
   She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Philip W. Olson; daughters, Sandy Mitchie and Jan Olson; one granddaughter, Keli Benson; one great-grandchild, Serena Benson.
   A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Luke Lutheran Church in Harrison with Pastor Michael Schaedig officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison. Memorial contributions may be considered to the St. Luke Lutheran Church, the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association. TROY LEWIS PATTERSON

   Troy L. Patterson 37 of Harrison passed away suddenly Thursday, March 8, 2006 at Mid-Ml Regional Medical Center - Clare. Troy was born June 6, 1968 in Detroit, the son of Roy and Rochelle (Ducca) Patterson. Mr. Patterson was united in marriage to Regina Williams on March 20, 1995 in Gladwin County.
   Troy enjoyed fishing, bowling, skiing, golfing and riding his tractor. He really enjoyed just spending time outdoors. Troy also enjoyed spending time and playing with his daughters. Most of all, Troy was always helping people. He took people into his home and helped them out anyway he could.
Surviving Mr. Patterson is his loving wife; Regina, his two adoring daughters; Kimberly Gail and Michelle Nichole, two brothers; Rex (Vicki) Hinton and Larry Godlewski both of Virginia, four sisters; Sandy (Eli) Dollen of Harrison, Carrie Jo (Dell) Haire of N. Carolina, Audrey and husband Richard Abbott of Georgia and Misty Chestnut and husband Stacy of S. Carolina and several nieces and nephews. Troy was preceded in death by one brother; Danny.
   Funeral services for Mr. Patterson were held Sunday, March 12, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home-Harrison with Elder Dale Beavers officiating. Memorial contributions may be considered to the Seton Cancer Institute, 2431 S. M-30, West Branch, Michigan 48661 or Troy's Family. ROY AND HELEN DAVIS

   Roy E. Davis 83 of Harrison passed away February 25, 2006 in Ann Arbor, MI, and Helen (Zay) Davis 81 of Harrison passed away February 13, 2006 in Saginaw, MI. Roy was born November 9, 1922 in Harrison; the son of William and Clara (Fuller) Davis. Helen was born October 17, 1924 in Ottawa, Ohio; the daughter of Arthur and Mable Zay. Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with Elder Dale Beavers officiating. Honorary services will be conducted by the VFW Post 1075, John J. Carton Lodge 436, American Legion Womens Auxillary 273 and the Clare County Voiture 767 40 et 8 La Femmes. Inurnment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery.
   Roy and Helen were united in marriage on June 17, 1966 in Blissfield, Michigan. Roy served for the United States Marines during WWII where he fought in the South Pacific Area. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 404, Harrison, VFW Post 1075, Harrison, John J. Carton Lodge 436 of Harrison and the 40 et 8 of Temple. Helen was an active member of the American Legion Womens Auxillary #273 and the Clare County Voiture 767 40 et 8 LaFemmes of Temple. Helen enjoyed gardening, boating and spending time out in her flower garden. Roy especially enjoyed spending time with his dog "Tippy".
   Surviving Roy are two brothers; Howard (Vivian) Davis and Alvin Davis both of Harrison. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his loving wife Helen, three brothers; Rush, Judson and Archie Davis and five sisters; Juanita, Elvie, Maude, Mabel and Alma.
   Surviving Helen are two sons; Paul (Carol) Amstutz of Downers Grove, IL and Tom (Linda) Amstutz of Sylvania, Ohio, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by two sons; Donald and Bruce Amstutz and one daughter; Gloria Amstutz.
   Memorial contributions may be considered to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1492. Arrangements were entrusted with Stocking Funeral Home, Inc., Harrison.
