ROSALIE (KINNE) MILLARD
Rosalie (Kinne) Millard, 81, passed
away Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey,
MI.
Rosalie was born in Harrison, MI on April 7, 1927 to Gladys and
Neil Kinne. She graduated from Harrison High School in 1944 and attended
Michigan State University. Rosalie worked at the Clare County Court
House in the County Clerk's Office. She also worked at the Budd Theater
in Harrison where she met her husband Philip W. Millard in 1948. Philip
and Rosalie were married on July 1, 1950 and made their first home in
Detroit, MI. They moved back to Harrison in 1951 where Rosalie worked
for the Harrison School District until 1977 while raising her children.
Rosalie and Phil moved to Petoskey, Michigan in 1996 dividing their time
between Petoskey and Green Valley, AZ.
Rosalie was a woman who had many interests. Some of her most
memorable family experiences were spent camping. She enjoyed travel and
loved to learn about the world and the people in it. She also enjoyed
painting, playing the piano, reading and loved observing nature. She
enjoyed and was thankful for her many friends during her lifetime. More
than anything, Rosalie enjoyed spending time with her family whom she
steadfastly loved, nurtured and supported. She will be missed as a
wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. We will miss her smile,
laughter and compassion.
Rosalie is survived by her husband of 58 years, Philip W. Millard,
her children, Philip H. (Peggy) Millard and Colleen Ann (Dan Ashcraft)
Millard. Rosalie had 6 grandchildren: Lindsay D. Millard, Nathan
Ashcraft, Danny Ashcraft, David Ashcraft, Megan (Toma) Fettig and Kasey
McDonald. Rosalie had 3 great-grandchildren: Alek Fettig, Aiden Fettig
and Annabelle Fettig. She was preceded in death by a brother Frances
Kinne.
The Funeral service was held on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 11:00
a.m. at the First Congregational Church, 211 W. Spruce St., Harrison,
with Rev. Gerald Baxter officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kinne-Millard
Scholarship Fund through the Clare County Community Foundation, PO Box
391, Clare MI 48617.

CAROL ANN FORMENTO
Carol Ann Formento,
age 52 of Harrison passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at St. Mary's
Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan. She was born on June 26, 1955 in South
Hampton, Massachusetts, the daughter of Richard and Nancy (Ropeter)
Bishop. Carol married Donovan Formento on June 6, 1987.
She had resided in Harrison since 1996, coming from Bradenton,
Florida. Carol was currently employed at the Wal Mart store in Houghton
Lake, Michigan. She enjoyed Rower gardening, sewing and crossword
puzzles.
Carol leaves behind her loving husband, Donovan, three step-sons,
Donald and his wife Tammy of Vassar, Michigan, Dan and his wife Patty of
Saginaw, Michigan and Dennis and his wife Vicky of Vassar, Michigan, two
brothers, Allan Bishop and his wife Cindy of Denver, Colorado and Gary
Bishop and his wife Francesca of Rancho Palos, California, eight
step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by her parents.
