TEDDIE LEE HOUCK SR.
Teddie Lee Houck Sr., age 76 of
Harrison passed away June 13, 2008 at Select Specialty Hospital of
Saginaw, Michigan. He was born March 27, 1932 in Cramerton, North
Carolina, the son of John and Elva (Smith) Houck. Mr. Houck married the
late Violet Keys in 1954. Mrs. Houck preceded Teddie in death in 1983.
Teddie served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict.
Mr. Houck had resided in Harrison since 1988, coming from Flushing,
Michigan. He retired from General Motors, Fisher Guide Division. Teddie
enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing with his family.
Surviving are his sons; Ted L. Houck Jr. and Rodney G. Houck both
of Harrison, one daughter-in-law; Jody Kipp of Harrison, one brother;
Kenneth Houck and his wife Joy of Orlando, Florida, one sister; "Dickie"
Garber of Christianburg, Virginia, five grandchildren; Mandy, Nicholas,
Teddie L. III, John G. and Mark T. Houck, two great grandchildren;
Hunter and Gabrielle Houck, plus numerous nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by his wife, Violet, his parents, one brother; Howard
Houck and three sisters; Margie, Catherine and "Vokie".
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 from
12:30-2:00 p.m. In keeping with Mr. Houck's wishes, a funeral service
will not be held and cremation will take place. Memorial contributions

ALLISON W. GOTTS
Allison W. Gotts, 94, of Clare,
formerly of Harrison and Lansing passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at
Mid Michigan Medical Center, Clare. Allison was born August 3, 1913 in
Lansing, the daughter of Clyde and Berta (Gaunt) Davis, joining her big
sister Viola. Allison graduated from Lansing Eastern High School with
the June class of 1932. Allison was united in marriage to Glenn Gotts at
Pilgrim Congregational Church in Lansing on October 12, 1935. Allison
and Glenn moved to Redding Township in Harrison in 1955. She resided on
McKinley Ave. until she moved to Clare in September of 2003.
Surviving are three nieces: Miss Susan Ward of Lansing, Miss Evelyn
Gotts of Warren, Michigan and Mrs. Shirley Jones of Harrison, plus
several cousins and a special long time friend, Mrs Wahnetta Moore of
Alva, Florida. Mrs. Gotts was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband Glenn in 1979 and her sister, Viola in 1997.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.
from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, with Rev. Gerald Baxter
officiating. Burial took place at Fernwood Cemetery, Temple. Memorial

JEANNE BRONSON
Jeanne Bronson,
94, of Harrison, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2008. Jeanne was born
June 26, 1913 in Chatham, Ontario, the daughter of Achille and Heloise
(Toulouse) Bachand. Jeanne was united in marriage to Mr. Dallas "Fred"
Bronson on October 6, 1937 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Mr. Bronson
preceded Jeanne in death on September 11, 2004. Mrs. Bronson had resided
in Harrison since 1973, coming from Port Huron, Michigan. Jeanne was a
member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison.
Surviving is her daughter, Mary Winters and husband John of Harrison,
one son, James V. Bronson and wife Linda of Escondido, California, one
sister, Eugenia Bachand of Windsor, Ontario, one brother, Homer Bachand
and wife Lil also of Windsor, Ontario, seven grandchildren, eleven
great-grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bronson also
was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Dallas Bronson, two
brothers: Clem and Phillip Bachand and four sisters: Alde Vollans, Nette
LaPorte, Dorothy Turton and Hannon McCale.
A Celebration of Life service was held Monday, June 9, 2008 at
11:00 a.m. from St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison, with Father
Noel Rudy officiating. Burial was in St. Athanasius Catholic Cemetery,
Harrison. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Bronson may be
considered to: St. Athanasius Catholic Church or Multiple Sclerosis

DORIS M. BEDELL
Doris M. Bedell of
Spring, Texas, formerly of Harrison and Auburn, age 71 years, passed
away suddenly Thursday, June 12, 2008 in Spring, Texas at her daughter's
home. She was born November 17, 1936 in Sandusky, Michigan to the late
Herman and Irene (Thomas) Gerstenberger. She married Ronald W. Bedell
Sr. on June 17, 1955 in Midland and he preceded her in death on January
20, 2008. She worked at Western High School and the Harrison I.G.A.
Doris enjoyed camping in Benzonia with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Ronald W. Bedell Jr. (Michelle) of
Auburn, MI, Connie Bissonette (Andy) of Spring, TX: grandchildren,
Katelyn Bedell and Megan Bedell; brothers, Raymond (Karen) Gerstenberger,
Melvin (Helen) Gerstenberger, Donald (Lorraine) Gerstenberger;
sisters-in-law, Maxine Johnroe and Susan (Clifford) Trumble. She was
predeceased by a granddaughter, Andrea Bedell on February 17, 1999.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2009 at 11am from
Rivertown Funeral Chapel with Rev. Fr. Chester Pilarski presiding with
interment in Midland Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral
chapel on Tuesday from 2 to 8 pm and Wednesday 10 am until time of
services.
