ALBERT LEWIS HEIN
Albert Lewis Hein,
74, of Harrison, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Mid Michigan
Medical Center-Clare. Albert was born August 15, 1933 in Clare,
Michigan, the son of Albert and Kathleen (Colmus) Hein. Albert had been
a resident of Clare County his entire life. Mr. Hein was united in
marriage to the former Mary Lou Brewer on July 20, 1973.
Mr. Hein retired from General Motors Corporation in 1988, after
thirty-three years of service. He was a member of the Harrison Loyal
Order of Moose #2235. Albert enjoyed kayaking, hunting, fishing and
tinkering in his garage.
Surviving are his loving wife, Mary Lou Hein of Harrison, his
mother, Kathleen Funke of Clare, four sons: Michael Hein of Carson City,
Michigan, Gerald Tedrow and wife Nancy of Jackson, Michigan, Robert
Corbin and his girlfriend, Vicky of Harrison and James Corbin and wife
Sue of Ludington, Michigan, four daughters: Kathleen Conklin of
Arkansas, Marlena Haefele and husband Dennis of Barstow, California,
Margie Bailey and husband Jeff of Ontonagon, Michigan and Shannon
Cottrell and husband Rob of Harrison, one brother, Earl "Buzzy" Funke of
Coleman, Michigan, one sister, Judy Allen and husband Jim of Clare,
thirty-three grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Mr. Hein
was preceded in death by his father, two sons: Butch and Walter Hein,
one son-in-law, Boyd Conklin, four grandchildren: Gary Williams, Carrie
Williams, Jesse Williams and Audrey Corbin, one brother, Jerry Hein and
one sister, Shirley Rilette.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 1:00
p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, in Harrison, with Elder Dale Beavers
officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Harrison.

RUTH ANN RICHARDS
Ruth A. Richards,
age 70 of Harrison passed away on Friday, January 25, 2008. She was born
the daughter of Grant D. and Florence M. (McKenzie) Ahrens on September
20, 1937 in Manton, Michigan.
Mrs. Richards was a former Mt. Pleasant resident; moving to Lansing
and then to Harrison in 1980. She had worked for the State of Michigan
until 1981. Ruth was a life member of the V.F.W. Post #1075-Ladies
Auxilary-Harrison. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, canning, camping,
loved her family and holiday get togethers.
Surviving Ruth are her four sons, Thomas S. Smith and wife Teresa
of Temperance, Michigan, Perry Fargo of Coldwater Lake, Michigan, Grant
Fargo of Harrison and Troy Richards and wife Debbie also of Harrison,
one daughter, Rebecca Ann Hoard and husband Steven of Harrison, one
brother, Jack Ahrens of Holt, Michigan, nine grandchildren, Amanda
Hoard, Christopher Wonch and wife Heather, Dennis Smith and wife Abi,
Jennifer and Amy Smith, Jacob Fargo, Ashley, Anthony and Sean Richards
and also her special friend of 65 years, Myrna Restainer. Mrs. Richards
was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services took place on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 11:00
a.m. at Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison 989-539-78 10, with Elder Dale
Beavers officiating. Interment will be at the Pleasant Plains Cemetery,

ELLIS “DALE” YOUNG
Young, Ellis "Dale", Harrison, MI,
formerly of Saginaw. Beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather,
passed away at Clare Hospital, January 24, 2008, after a short illness
at the age of 84 years.
Dale was born April 27, 1923, in Saginaw to the late Gifford D. and
Irene (Anschuetz) Young. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School. Dale
worked for General Motors Saginaw-Malleable Iron as a Production Control
Supervisor retiring in 1974. He enjoyed bowling, playing Euchre, and
playing the trumpet in numerous bands especially the Post Office Band.
He loved fishing and he received a Master Angler Award for catching one
of the largest Muskies in Michigan. He was a member of the Masons and
the Fraternal Order of the Moose in Harrison.
He is survived by his children, Dale (Janet) Young, Marjorie
(Kenneth) Lange, Pamela (John Kellett) Schuler; grandchildren, Scott
(Amy) Young, Jason, Adam, and Amanda Young, Wendy (Jon) Lehner, Tiffanny
(Brad) Brandel, Matthew and Daniel Schuler; great-grandchildren, Damien
and Megan Carter, and Brooke Ann Young, Tyler, Brooke, and Haley Lehner,
Gracey Brandel; and dear friends, Kay and Harold Becker and Margaret
Young Zietz. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Malissa Carter;
special companion Helene Davis; and brother Gifford Dee "Pete" Young. He
was loved very much and will be missed.
Funeral services took place at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 28,
2008, at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Pastor Mark P. Buckert
officiated with burial following in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends
may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial
contributions may be made to Mid-Michigan Home Care.

RUTH LAZARECKI
Ruth Lazarecki, age 86, passed away
January 21, 2008. She was born on December 12, 1921 in St. Clair
Township, Michigan, the daughter of Anthony and Eleanor (Rosinsky)
Olezynski. Ruth married the late Anthony J. Lazarecki on July 7, 1979 in
Detroit, Michigan. He preceded her in death on August 8, 2000.
Mrs. Lazarecki had resided in Harrison since 1980, coming from
Detroit/Warren area. Ruth owned and operated the restaurant on Seven
Mile Road in Detroit, across from the Pershing High School. She was in
real estate sales for several years and worked in the cafeteria at
General Motors. Ruth also served as Hayes Township Clerk from April of
1989 until November of 1990. She was a member of the Trinity Christian
Life Center and the Red Hat Society; Traveling Tea Ladies. During the
Christmas holiday, Ruth and Anthony played Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus for
many years.
Ruth leaves behind her step children, Carol Ayuyu and Anthony
Lazarecki, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, many nieces,
nephews, and great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was the last
of ten children of the Olczak family.
Funeral services were held on Friday, January 25, 2008 at the
Trinity Christian Life Center with Rev. Feurestein officiating. Burial
is in the St. Athanasius Catholic Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial

DOUGLAS NEELEY
Douglas Neeley, 77, born May 7, 1930
to Sylvester & Maude Neeley in Clio. He married Gladys Speary, September
1952 (she preceded him in death).
Surviving: brother Sylvester Neeley Jr. of Clio, daughters; Ruth
Reittenbach of Gladwin, Bonnie Sanogo (Seni) of Houston, TX,
grandchildren; Matthew Fisher of Lexington KY, Darris Moore of Dallas,
TX, Heather Reittenbach of Gladwin, Jordan Reittenbach of Gladwin, 3
great-grandchildren; Darrien & Katelin Moore of Dallas, TX and Maycie
Reittenbach of Gladwin, special cousin; Ron (Norma) Tobias of Harrison,
many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 2nd, at Kingdom
Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 983 N. M-18, Gladwin, Michigan at 1pm.
