HAROLD CLAIR LASKOWSKY
Harold Clair Laskowsky,
81, of Harrison, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Central
Michigan Community Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Harold was born
March 13, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of George and Alma (Cable)
Laskowsky. Mr. Laskowsky was united in marriage to the former Betty Ruth
Taulbee on June 23, 1950 at Epiphany Lutheran Church, Detroit.
Harold had resided in Harrison since 1991, coming from Southfield.
Mr. Laskowsky was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church-Harrison,
Harrison Sportsman Club and a past member of the Clare County Sheriff
Reserves. Harold earned the rank of Eagle Scout on October 16, 1944. He
was an avid wildlife observer.
Surviving is his loving wife, Betty R. Laskowsky of Harrison, one
son, Karl Laskowsky and wife Karen of Woodbridge, Virginia, one
daughter, Cynthia Murphy and husband Brian of Huntington Woods,
Michigan, one sister, Betty Lenk of Edmund, Oklahoma, seven
grandchildren: Katrina Laskowsky, Kurt Laskowsky, Emily (Franz)
Rosenzweig, Eva (Nate) Mays, Patrick Murphy, Elisabeth Murphy and Dana
Murphy, three loving pets: Dingo, Sheba and Bandit, plus numerous nieces
and nephews. Mr. Laskowsky was preceded in death by his parents, three
brothers: Arnold, Wilbur and Norbert Laskowsky and two sisters: Arbutus
Hinchey and Darlene Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 11:00
a.m. from St. Luke Lutheran Church, Harrison, with Pastor Michael
Schaedig officiating. Visitation will take place Tuesday, February 24,
2009 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison. Inurnment
will be in Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak, Michigan. Memorial contributions
in memory of Mr. Laskowsky may be considered to: St. Luke Lutheran

JULIANNE T. CHAPP
Julianne T. Chapp, 79, of Harrison,
passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Gladwin Pines Nursing Home,
Gladwin, Michigan. Julie was born August 25, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan,
the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Hodink) Kopchick. Julie was united
in marriage to Mr. Richard C. Chapp on October 18, 1947. Mr. and Mrs.
Chapp had resided in Harrison since 1986, coming from Warren, Michigan.
Mrs. Chapp was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church,
Harrison, where she was involved with the R.C.I.A. program, was a
Eucharistic Minister and was President of the Anna J. Guild for many
years.
Surviving is her loving husband, Richard C. Chapp of Harrison, two
sons: Gary Chapp and wife Helga of Sterling Heights, Michigan and
Jeffrey Chapp of Washington, Michigan, one daughter, Lorianne E. Jeske
and husband John of Clinton Township, Michigan, one sister, Monica
Trautman and husband Robert of Richmond, Michigan, two grandchildren:
Aurora and Noah Chapp of Washington, Michigan, plus many friends and
neighbors. Mrs. Chapp was preceded in death by her parents, one son,
Daniel Chapp and her daughter in law, Nina Chapp.
Funeral services for Julie were held Monday, February 23, 2009 at
11:00 a.m. from St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison, with Father
Noel Rudy officiating. Burial was in St. Michael Cemetery, Richmond,
Michigan. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Chapp may be

CHIESA Louie
Chiesa, age 61, of Harrison, passed away on Friday, February 20,
2009 at his home in Harrison.
He was born the son of Albert Duran and Ofelia Gonzales on November
10, 1947 in San Pedro, California. On October 22, 1976, he was united in
marriage to the former Debra Ann Thomas in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Chiesa
had been an avid fisherman for many years. He was also very mechanically
inclined; he also enjoyed playing paintball, and was considered to be an
expert when it came to shooting. He had lived in the Harrison areas
since 1979 where he had moved from San Pedro, California.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Ann Chiesa, of Harrison; his
mother, Ofelia Duran of West Minster, California; his three sons: Louie
and Julie Chiesa, Lewis Chiesa, and Billy Chiesa and his fiancee, Lisa,
all of Harrison; his niece, Betty Lloyd of Lake George, Michigan; his
three brothers: Vincent Rayes, Joe Duran, and Johnny and wife Stacy
Duran, all of California; a sister, Irene and David Torrez of
California; three grandchildren, Cassandra Kathleen Chiesa, Camie
Elizabeth Stubsted, and Wyatt Allen Chiesa. He was preceded in death by
his father and a brother, Michael Duran.
In keeping with Louie's wishes, cremation has taken place. A
memorial service was held on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at
the Lloyd residence at 22 Arthur Road, Lake George, Michigan.
