BERTHA E. ROBERTSON
Bertha E. Robertson 89
of Marion, Michigan passed away Thursday, August 2, 2007 at her home.
Bertha was born March 6, 1918 in Marion, the daughter of Archie C. and
Margaret E. (McNeill) Lux. Bertha was united in marriage to Richard
Vancise in 1932, Mr. Vancise preceded her in death in 1965, she was then
united in marriage to Lawrence Myers in 1965, he preceded her in death
in 1991, she was then united in marriage to Clifford Davis in 1992, he
also preceded her in death in 1998, she then married Albert Robertson in
2000, Albert also preceded her in death in 2004.
Bertha had resided in Harrison for several years prior to moving to
Marion. She was a member of the United Brethren Church of Harrison.
Bertha is survived by two brothers: Loarn Lux and wife Maryann of
North Dakota and Archie Lux and wife Olive of Washington, two sisters:
Edith Castle of Durand, Michigan and Mildred Bigelow of Owosso,
Michigan, many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and numerous
great-great grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Bertha also
was preceded in death by her parents, four sons: Richard, Victor, Archie
and Eugene Vancise, one daughter, Ramona Dowdy, three brothers, five
sisters, two infant siblings and five grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Robertson were held Monday, August 6,
2007 at 11:00 a.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, with Pastor
Marion Hall officiating. Burial was at Lux Family Cemetery, Marion.

GENEVIEVE RICHARDSON
Genevieve Thelma
Pixley Richardson, died August 9, 2007 at age 91, while under
Hospice care at home, surrounded by loving family.
Born July 6, 1916 in Edmore, Michigan to Isadora (Dora) and John
Pixley.
She was Married 53 years to Waldo Richardson, who died February 23,
1991.
She was Mother to daughters, Donna (Ned) Rathbun, Marilyn Rathburn
and sons, Waldo Richardson, Ronald (Christina) Richardson and James
Richardson, still living. She was Grandmother to 15, Great Grandmother,
and Great Great Grandmother to many children.
Genevieve's sibling have all predeceased her. She had sisters,
Vivian Middlestadt, Ella (Dolly) Murray Williams, and Dorothy Pixley,
brothers, Elmer and Russell Pixley. There are many nieces and nephews.
All of her sisters in law and brothers in law have predeceased her.
Waldo was one of 9 siblings, starting life in the Harrison area.
Genevieve worked for and retired from the Secretary of State in
1976. She lived in Lansing for 42 years before moving to Harrison to be
close to family members. She graduated from Harrison High School in 1934
and enjoyed attending the class reunion every year. Her favorite
retirement activities were shopping, reading Danielle Steel romances,
Bingo, painting with oils and visiting with family. She lived a quiet
life with her little dog, Buffy, after her husband died.
Services were held Monday, August 13th at 11am at the Chapel in the
Pines, Lansing, MI.

ANNA CHARLOTTE MORROW
Anna Charlotte Morrow
96 of Harrison passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at the Northwoods
Nursing Center, Farwell, Michigan. Anna was born December 22, 1910 in
Seneca Falls, New York, the daughter of John and Ethel (Weaver) Caroll.
Anna was united in marriage to James S. Morrow on January 22, 1928 in
Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Morrow preceded Anna in death on December 2,
1990. Mrs. Morrow had resided in Harrison since 1962, coming from
Madison Heights, Michigan.
Surviving are her loving daughter, Shirley Tallman and husband
Gordon of Warren, Michigan, daughter in law, Jean Morrow of Harrison,
eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great
grandchildren. Anna also was predeceased by her parents, one son, James
Lee Morrow in 2005 and one daughter, Anna Marie Anderson.
Chapel services were held on Saturday, August 4, 2007 from
Christian Memorial Cultural Center Cemetery in Rochester Hills,
Michigan, with Reverend Canion officiating. Memorial contributions in

FLORENCE R. EVANS
Florence R. Evans
84 of Harrison passed away at her home on Thursday, August 9, 2007.
Florence was born November 30, 1922 in Alpena, Michigan, the daughter of
Fred A. and Mildred (Dehring) Lenox. Florence was united in marriage to
George W. Evans on April 11, 1942 in Bay City, Michigan. Mr. Evans
preceded Florence in death on July 28, 2003 after sixty one years of
marriage. Mrs. Evans had resided in Harrison since 1982, coming from Bay
City.
Florence worked for Bay Medical Care Facility for many years. Upon
moving to Harrison, Florence served as the Hayes Township Treasurer for
several years. Florence was a wonderful wife, mom and friend. She loved
to crochet, go to the casino and visit with her family and friends.
Surviving is one daughter, Jean L. Rase of Sebring, Florida, one
son, Bill Evans and fiancee Beth of Harrison, two sisters in law: Marge
Ward of Essexville, Michigan and Bea Evans of Bay City, one
granddaughter, Jodi of Sebring, Florida, three faithful four legged
friends: Duke, Rascal and Kitty. Mrs. Evans also was preceded in death
by her parents and two sisters: Helen Neal and Dorothy Staudacher.
Florence's family would like to thank those who have helped her in
so many ways: Visiting Nurses Association, Affordable Nursing, The
Medical Waiver Program, Hayes Township Meals on Wheels, Mary Bundoff and
Family, Dr. Douglas Mienk, Gene and Geri Gwisdala, Joyce Weaver, Cheryl
Pribbernow and family, Lisa Snyder, Carol and Ron Outlan and Ringo
Warden. A very special thank you to: Mike Pribbernow, Bob Neal, Tammi
Gould and Beth Larkin and her children: Josh, Trisha, Jessie and Little
Barbara. All of you brightened her life and enabled Florence to live her
life in her own home.
