L. LUCILLE SKINNER
Lucille Skinner
left this world on Thursday morning, June 29, 2006 at Campbell County
Memorial Hospital, in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes. Lucille
Skinner was born on October 15, 1924 in Harrison, Michigan to David H.
and Eva Marie (Thompson) Bailey. She was the third of four daughters.
She attended school in rural Clare County and graduated from Harrison
High School in 1942.
She married Leo Earl Skinner on June 7, 1942 in Harrison, Michigan.
To this union three children were born. Lucille kept books for the
family business while living in Michigan and raised her family. They
moved the family to Gillette in April of 1974.
She enjoyed traveling around the United States with her husband,
Leo, sisters, and other family members. Lucille enjoyed all outdoor
activities and even managed a “hole in one” on a couple of occasions.
She was an avid gardener, and often canned the bounty from her garden.
She enjoyed doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles and mastered crypto
quotes.
In her later years, she enjoyed planning and cooking family meals
for her large family which now included five grandsons, two
granddaughters, two great grandchildren, and one great-great
granddaughter, Isabella.
Lucille is survived by her husband of 64 years, Leo, her daughter,
Sandra (Charles) Jossens, and their children, Donnie and Randy Jossens,
her son William Skinner and his children, Eric Skinner and Amanda Gorder,
all of Gillette, her youngest son, John Michael Skinner (Teresa) of
Sheridan and their three children: son John Blaine Skinner of Sheridan,
son Blaine (Lisa) Geer and their children (Joey and Karli Geer) all of
Gillette, and daughter Tracey Geer (Collin) Scott of Tucson, Arizona.
She is also survived by one sister, Fern Ball of Roscommon, Michigan.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters:
Irene Provoast and Marion Bond. Memorials can be sent to the Wyoming

MAE FRANCES POLLINGTON
Mae F. Pollington
70 of Omer, formerly of Harrison, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2006 at
her home. Mae was born November 6, 1935 in Mobile, Alabama, the daughter
of Charles C. and Roxie M. (Tucker) Smith. Mae was united in marriage to
Karl H. Pollington Sr. on June 30, 1955 in Columbus, Georgia. Mr.
Pollington preceded Mae in death on April 2, 2005.
Mrs. Pollington enjoyed crocheting, supporting high school band
boosters, working with children and talking with family and friends.
Surviving are her loving children; three sons: William Knapp and
wife Barbara of Donna, Texas, George Pollington and wife Sherry of
Lincoln Park, Michigan and Karl Pollington Jr. and wife Cheryl of
Pinckney, Michigan, four daughters: Hannah Neil and husband Ronnie of
Omer, Michigan, Lynda Byrd and husband Fred of Burnsville, North
Carolina, Deborah Pollington of Mt. Clemens, Michigan and Kristina
Fisher and husband Leonard of Taylor, Michigan, one brother: Edward
Smith and wife Helen, two sisters: Eloise Cox and husband Jimmy and
Johnnie Fae White and husband James, twenty four grandchildren, nineteen
great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Pollington also
was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 11:00 a.m.
from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, with Pastor Tim Tanner
officiating. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial

WILLIAM RICHARD DUGGAN

William R. Duggan
73 of Harrison passed away Saturday, July 29, 2006 at his home. Mr.
Duggan was born July 31, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Joseph D.
and Irene G. (Hall) Duggan. William served in the United States Army
during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Duggan was united in marriage to Helen
M. Woodcock on June 7, 1952 in Midland, Michigan. William moved to
Harrison in 1960, coming from Midland.
William opened Duggan’s Sporting Goods Post of Harrison in 1960,
purchasing it from Mr. Paul Weatherhead. After a few years, the sporting
goods store was converted into a motel with several additions over ten
years. In 1970, Mr. Duggan started Duggans Canoe Livery in Temple, which
is now owned by his son, Phil Duggan and wife Sandy. Mr. Duggan also
worked at K&D Quik Stop of Harrison for many years, assisting his son
and daughter in law; Michael and Krystal Duggan. William belonged to the
Brick Layers Union and was the Business Agent for several years. Mr.
Duggan was a member of the John J. Carton Masonic Lodge #436 of Harrison
and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3651 of Midland, Michigan.
Surviving are his loving wife; Helen M. Duggan of Harrison, two
sons; Philip Duggan and wife Sandy and Michael Duggan and wife Krystal
all of Harrison, one brother; Jim Duggan and wife Carolyn of Gulf
Shores, Alabama, and five grandchildren. Mr. Duggan was preceded in
death by his parents.

Mrs. Bierschbach was born March 3, 1926 in Lakefield Township,
Michigan and died July 29, 2006 in Southfield. She is the beloved wife
of the late Elton C. for 52 years. Loving mother of Dale (Gail), David
and Dennis Bierschbach. Cherished grandmother to Dale Jr., Christopher
and Connie. Dear sister of Claudette (Donald “Bud”) Browne. Mary has
been a resident of Farmington Hills for over 50 years. She served as a
Worker of Mary at St. Alexander’s Parish for over 20 years. Her
interests include bird watching, gardening, reading and word searches.
