HARRY M. SANDERSON

Harry M. Sanderson,
formerly of Leota, was born in Clare County on February 4, 1947. He went
to "meet his maker" on July 14, 2010 while residing in Cape Coral, FL.
Harry was an extraordinary self-employed handyman for most of his life.
He was also a well known lumberjack and co-owner of Love's Canoe Livery.
For the last couple of years he was employed by Welded Construction as a
pipeline laborer working side by side with his son Jeff and grandson
Ryan.
A modern day Robin Hood, this exceptional human being would give to
others what he may not even have for himself. It's just who he was and
how he'll be remembered!
He is survived by many including: three sisters (Judy, Kay and
Nora), five brothers (Donald, Edwin, John, Marion and Wes), six
children: James (Karla) Morche of Harrison, Pam (Shawn) DeKay of
Sterling Heights, Ronda (Lee) Ackerson of Lansing, Jeff (Belinda)
Sanderson of Harrison, Matt (Stacey) Morche of McBain, and Brenda
(Elmer) Carlton of Harrison. He had 18 grandchildren and 1 great
granddaughter. He is also survived by his wife Sherry of 18 months and
six step-children/grandchildren, a loving ex-wife (Lavina Sanderson of
Florida), and a former son-in-law (Barney DeRoche of Sterling Heights).
He was preceded in death by both of his parents (Leona Facer and
Marion Sanderson), brother Leo Burns, sister Dorothy Bond, first wife
Linda (Reed) Sanderson, and special nephew George Burns.

JOYCE MARLENE HAMSHER
June 24, 1935 - July 28, 2010
Joyce Marlene Hamsher,
75 of Harrison, went to be with her lord on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at
William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. Joyce was born June 24,
1935 in Northville, Michigan, the daughter of George and Estelle (Schotsch)
Zenn. She was later adopted by her mother and step-father, Emilio Genta.
Joyce grew up in Walled Lake, Michigan and was married to Mr. Raymond
Daniel Hamsher on June 19, 1953 in Walled Lake.
Joyce had been a campfire and 4H leader for many years and a nurse
for the Girl Scouts summer camps. Joyce moved to Harrison in 1972. In
1974, she became a teacher aide at Harrison Community Schools, where she
felt fortunate to work with so many children who really touched her
heart.
Surviving is her husband of fifty-seven years, Mr. Raymond Daniel
Hamsher of Harrison, two daughters: Laura Forman and husband George of
Harrison and Julie Wymer and husband Larry also of Harrison, two
granddaughters: Tara Haney and Teresa Conden and husband Chris, one
great-granddaughter, Valarie Haney and one great-grandson, Daniel Haney,
one brother, Gary Genta and wife Karen of Fountain, Michigan. Joyce was
preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Daniel Ray Rowland, one
sister, Elizabeth Graham, one brother, David Genta and a brother-in-law,
Robert Graham.
A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.

BETTYE JO LEWIS
Bettye Jo Lewis,
of Harrison, formerly of Flushing, MI, age 85, died Saturday, August 7,
2010 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Midland. Funeral services were held
11 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Rossell Funeral Home, 307 E. Main
St., Flushing. Pastor Gerald Ferguson will officiate. Cremation will
follow services. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday
and 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial
contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
She is survived by: husband, Kirk Lewis of Harrison; six daughters,
Pamela Jo and husband Frank Konecki of Alpena, Debora Paige and husband
George Zigoris of Midland, Denine Marie and husband Jamie Scott of
Fairfax, VA, Rebecca and husband Douglas Fugitt of Swartz Creek, Lori
Rene and husband Joe Dorman of Flushing, Kelly Ann Lewis of Flint; 14
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Dick McKibben
of Clarkston; sister-in-law, Doris Williams of Fenton; nieces and
nephews.

DARWIN RAY MAJOR JR.

Darwin Ray Major Jr., 52, of
Harrison, Michigan, passed away suddenly, on Wednesday, July 28, 2010.
He was born in Fort Benning, Georgia to Darwin Sr. & Peggy (Walker)
Major. He had lived in Clare County for the last 28 years, previously
residing in Flint, Michigan.
He leaves behind his parents: Darwin & Peggy Major of Harrison;
sister: Deresa Schmidt & her friend Jim McGuire also of Harrison;
sister: Kimberly Major & her friend Berry Mathis of Summerville, South
Carolina; brother: Keith Major of Flint; nephew: Torre Ruble of South
Carolina; great niece: Khole Tracy also of South Carolina; special
friend: Jerry Bowlin of Flint. He will be sadly missed by everyone.
Funeral Services were conducted on Monday, August 2, 2010, 11: 00
A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. Pastor Timothy
Lambert officiated. Visitation was held on Sunday, August 1, 2010 from
6-9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. He was laid to rest at Butman Twp.
Cemetery, Gladwin, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions
may be used according to the wishes of the family.

CLAUDIA ELAINE ANIOL


Claudia E. Anoil, 86 of Harrison,
passed away 7/10/2010 at her residence. Claudia was born November 16,
1923 in Pontiac, Michigan, the daughter of Raymond and Lucille (LeDuc)
Flanders.
Mrs. Aniol had resided in the Harrison area since 1987, moving from
Garden City and Wayne, Michigan. She was united in marriage to William
Buyers in 1941 in Flint. She then married Richard Aniol in Westland,
September 30, 1978. Mrs. Aniol was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic
Church, Harrison, a member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 1804,
Harrison, and loved to play cards, belonging to two card clubs. She was
employed by the A & P Food Stores in Wayne and Westland for over
twenty-five years, retiring in 1980.
Surviving are her husband Richard Aniol of Harrison, one son
Raymond Buyers and wife Sandra of Harrison, one daughter, Cherlyn Rand
and husband Larry of Livonia, six grandchildren, four
step-grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren,
a sister, Shirley Spencer of Flint, a nephew, Mark Spencer and a niece
Sheila Provance. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William
Buyers, her father, Raymond Flanders, her mother, Lucille Smith, two
step-fathers, Frank Kay and Hebert Smith, a niece Deborah Smelia and a
nephew James Spencer Jr., an aunt, Evelyn Cousineau, a grand son,
William Buyers, and a great grandson, Joey Meranda.
A vigil for deceased was celebrated on 13th July at Harris Funeral
Home, Garden City, MI. Funeral mass at 10am, rite of committal to follow
at 2:30pm at Michigan Memorial Cemetery, Flat Rock, MI.

RANDY KIRK BRIM
Randy Kirk Brim, 54 of Lapeer,
Michigan (Formerly of): Harrison, MI, Passed away Wednesday, July 28,
2010.
Randy was born October 8, 1955 in Lapeer, Michigan.
Randy was the son of Dearald John and Alice Ruth (White) Brim.
Randy graduated from Harrison High School, class of 1974. He worked
many years at Industrial Machine Products in Oxford. He also worked for
the Ligon Brothers in Almont and various construction jobs throughout
the years. Randy loved NASCAR collectibles and watching NASCAR on TV. He
also loved fishing, NFL football and playing cards.
Randy is survived by sisters: Diane (David) Granz of Lapeer, Deb
(Jim) Schultz of Brighton, Darlene (Craig) Lee of Lapeer, and Arlette
(Robert) Lee of Harrison, brothers: Rolla of Lapeer, Ronald of Tiovola,
MI and Thomas of New Hudson, MI, Step siblings, Richard Brim of Lapeer
and Karen Jo Brim of Lapeer, 9 nieces and nephews and many, many great
nieces & nephews.
Randy was preceded in death by a step-sister, Sandra.
Randy's family is going to hold a memorial service at a later date.
Randy will be laid to rest in Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Harrison,
MI.
