The play is about Henry Ralson, who died in 1989, but his ghost has been hanging around the abandoned depot at Merrinsville ever since. Henry was the station agent in Merrinsville for thirty-two years and an idle comment to a reporter in his retirement has haunted him has much as he has haunted the depot. He would like nothing more than for an audience and a chance at redemption! Listen as he tells the story of life at the depot, his courtship of the local schoolteacher, and of Merrinsville itself. The play is about loss, loyalty, and love.
Raymond Goodwin is also the author of Sawdusted: Notes from a Post-Boom Mill, a Library of Michigan Notable Book selection for 2011.
